In many applications including robotics, body area sensing, and test instrumentation, wire connection to sensors allows the sensor size and cost to be dramatically reduced, and data transmission to be simplified. The highly-miniaturized, fully-encapsulated nature of our embedded component packages is very well matched to wired sensor applications.
